Sound of some nature blowing across vast field [From:Collection of Shujie poems, Volume IV, “Shallow Water Bay”]

谁也无法说清那是什么声音

群星早已隐去了

那是早晨

食草的山羊偶尔抬起头来

望一眼盘旋于天空的苍鹰

白云已经静止

No one could exactly tell what sound it was

Stars having dissolved

It was morning

Grazing ram raised head once in a while

Took a look at eagle hovering in the sky

White cloud had quieted down

我们在必然的时刻途经那里

发现牧羊人正在熟睡

他在早晨的阳光里熟睡

We passed through there at inevitable time

Found deeply asleep shepherd

He was deeply asleep in morning sunshine

听我说 有一个手握斧子的男人

在风雨之夜渡过了西拉沐伦河

之后他永远倒在对岸了

他总想证明什么

可那把斧子早已证明他了

那是黄昏

我站在母亲的身旁看着他倒下

他 就是我的父亲

Listen to me, a man having axe in hand

Crossed the Xar Moron River in night of wind and rain

Then he ever fell down on the opposite shore

He always wanted to prove something

Yet the axe had already proved him

It was dusk

I stood by mother side seeing him fell down

He was my father

我们横穿八月的草原

听一听

有一种声音掠过旷野

母亲曾提醒我

那不是斧子的声音

We going across grassland of August

Listen

Sound of some nature blowing across vast field

Mother having reminded me

It was not sound of axe

我只记得

那腾飞的蒙古马

是父亲永生的灵魂

I just remember

The soaring Mongolia horse

Being the eternal soul of father
